I’m speaking to a Girl Scout Troop today, and I’ll be helping them earn their Scribe badge! Aside from the writing aspect, I thought they’d get a kick out of this picture of me on my first day of Brownies. I’ll also show them my Girl Scout sash, complete with badges and pins and Philadelphia/Troop 628 stitched on it. The fact that I’ve saved this sash for so many years speaks volumes. Being a Scout meant so much to me. Plus, I was lucky enough to have a wonderful leader–Mrs. Frey, my mom.
