Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Langdon Elementary in the heart of Washington, D.C. The non-profit An Open Book Foundation invited me to present my program to 80 inner city elementary school students, and in turn they purchased copies of City Street Beat for EVERY child.

Our mission is to promote literacy among disadvantaged children and teens in the greater Washington, D.C. area by giving books to students and schools and providing access to authors and illustrators.
